New Product - MOS + Retake
Due to the unprecedented success of June's retake promotion, we are now happy to introduce the option of a "MOS + Retake" off-the-shelf product. The benefit against buying MOS units alone can be seen both in cost savings, plus increased peace of mind for the student. This item is available now, costing £32 to Microsoft IT Academy members and £40 to non-members, with a free 30-day re-sit voucher activated when an exam is failed.

Announcing the New Adobe Certified Associate Certification!
Getting that first job out of school or college is daunting. The classic dilemma for students entering the workforce with little or no experience is convincing employers they are capable of doing the job. Talented students now have an effective credibility-building tool they can add to their CV's: Adobe® Certified Associate.
The new suite of qualifications from Adobe includes Dreamweaver 8 Flash 8 and the following exams in the CS3 suite Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop.
These exams are available at an individual Academic price of £30
Certiport are also offering a special Annual Academic Licence for these exams, priced at £1500 this entitles the Academic Institution to offer unlimited exams during the term of the contract.

Certiport Worldwide Competition 2008 Final on Microsoft Office in Hawaii
In April of this year Phillipa Dunlop from Chislehurst & Sidcup Grammar School and Martha Cattell from Sawtry Community College, both 15 years of age, were named the United Kingdom 2008 Champions for Microsoft Word and Excel, respectively. They were both awarded a prize package worth over £1,500, including an all expenses paid trip to attend the international Certiport PATHWAYS Conference, from the 31st July to the 2nd August, held this year in Hawaii, USA. They will be going on to compete in the Final of the 2008 Certiport Worldwide Competition against students named champions in their own countries. In the upcoming final of the Competition there will be only one Excel winner and one Word winner who will earn the prestigious distinction of being The Worldwide Champion. Each Champion will receive a trophy and a prize package of technological tools worth over £2,500.

Personnel Changes
Certiport UK are currently recruiting a Regional Field Sales Manager and a Customer Service/Sales Administrator based in our UK Head Office in Old Amersham. In addition, Andy Burroughs has been appointed as Certiport's UK General Manager. Andy has over 20-years experience in the IT industry and worked for Microsoft for 9-years in a variety of sales, marketing and managerial roles. He has extensive experience of working with Public Sector customers and is also a Non-Executive Director in the NHS.
Sadly, Frances Kennedy has now left Certiport. Frances did a great job managing the IT Academy but has decided to move on and started a new job in her home town of Manchester. Frances will be working with people with special needs placing them into employment. We all wish Frances well and thank her for her efforts.
